Double Major and Certificate Programs
In Boğaziçi University, undergraduate students registered in one department can also pursue the program of another department. This is called the “Double Major” program. Undergraduate students with a GPA of 3.00 or above who have successfully completed all of their courses can apply for the Double Major program during their second, third or fourth semesters. Students who graduate having successfully completed the Double Major program are granted two undergraduate degrees.
The Department of Turkish Language and Literature offers two double major programs: one with the Department of Western Languages and Literatures and the other with the Department of History. A student admitted to either one follows a separate course schedule designed by the concerned departments together. You can contact your advisors for more information about the Double Major program.

Boğaziçi Üniversitesi students can obtain a certificate in a field they are interested in by completing a certificate program consisting of courses from various departments. Students can apply to these programs in their third semester or above with a GPA of at least 2.50. Specific certificate programs may have further requirements.
The Department of Turkish Language and Literature offers certificate programs in Copywriting, Film Studies, American Studies and Foreign Languages (French and German). You can contact your advisors for more information about certificate programs.
